The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a process-oriented IT control framework for service delivery. Developed in the late 1980s by the United Kingdom government, this framework has been widely adopted and is now the most used IT service management best practices approach in the world. The popularity of ITIL and business processes automation is currently being driven by two prevalent corporate initiatives in the marketplace, resulting in a rapidly increasing interest in ITIL and IT governance initiatives:
Kailea's InSite is complete SaaS solution designed to enable a set of process-based, best practices that helps IT resources achieve a higher level of efficiency, which would be more costly through alternative means. Furthermore, a comprehensive adherence to best practices and the realization of ongoing process improvement can only be achieved through the use one or more technologies and the only choice for on-premise solutions is a more costly single technology or a number of less costly point technologies. However, the lower cost of multiple point solutions is offset by the increased need for resources to maintain the integrations between them. So, the choice is simply to spend more money for an on-premise solution, (either on technology or on people to mange multiple technologies), or spend less money for Kailea's SaaS solution. |
